EVENT : Art of Scent at Harvey Nichols

Harvey Nichols is the world’s leading luxury retailer, renowned for its exclusive edit of the most prestigious brands across womenswear, accessories, beauty and food. It’s the place to get your latest trends from different designers under one roof. And last Thursday I was invited by their PR team to come down to the The Art of Scent event where we could immerse in an ocean of hundreds scents and explore how the fragrance defines us as individuals, its emotive and evocative qualities and ability to transform and empower. While listening to a Dj and drinking cocktails, Kelly ( from the PR team) introduced me to a fascinating brand called Yogandha . Friendly Sinead talked us through their amazing products that are now available at Harvey Nichols. I was blown away by brand’s “roll on oils” which you can apply all over your body, the ingredients used in the oils have been used for yoga, stress management and meditation for over 4000 years! Yogandha Oils are designed for both Yoga enthusiasts to enhance meditation practice, and just for anyone who needs a great muscle relaxant or look for a perfect solution for regular headaches. You can just roll it on your temples and jaw line for instant headache relief. That’s how I’ve been using them and trust me, it really works.

Next I visited a very glamorous stand by my favourite hair brand Show Beauty . Brand’s hair line has  bottles pretty enough to rival your perfume collection! Brand launch of luxe hair products is the perfect storm of glam packaging, miraculous smoothing potions and a super posh founder who we can trust to do some serious quality control. Tamara Ecclestone, the British model and uber chic founder behind the brand developed the line using her jet-set life to do field research for the brand. I’m super excited to visit this stand next week for my hair makeover so stay tuned for my review on that.

Award-winning perfume designer Azzi Glasser was also launching her perfume collection of 11 limited edition men’s, women’s and unisex perfumes from her previously unreleased back catalogue. Under the moniker, The Perfumer’s Story, this is the first time that Glasser, who is known for her ground-breaking fragrances and iconic client portfolio, will have made these scents available at retail, an exclusive to Harvey Nichols.

Jo Malone  is another counter that I visited on the night where I was treated like a queen for a pampering session. I was greeted by the brand’s friendly staff and seated in one of the stools of the “Tasting Bar” where my truly relaxing VIP experience began.  I was given a full hand and arm massage  using the Pomegranate Noir Cologne body wash and body crème which magical scent lasted until the next day! I really enjoyed my session and would highly recommend Jo Malone for anyone who wants a full-on sensory experience.

Thank you so much Harvey Nichols for inviting me to your Art of Scent night X
