We all know our holidays start long before our plane takes off. Usually, I try to book my uber two hours before boarding as I just can’t skip the excitement of the Duty Free shopping. It can be your life-saver if you are in desperate hunt for that last minute gift for your Spanish friend or you urgently need a mascara replacement (your favourite one was left in uber). Or maybe you just feel like indulging yourself to something special, a new perfume or even designer sunglasses (yes, you definitely deserve it after all those endless weeks of work-gym-netflix routine), this place is a perfect beginning of your dream holiday
I was very lucky to be invited by team Duty Free & Manchester Airport to explore Terminal 1 shopping floor and pick up my beauty essentials (you can check out what I have selected for you here ), so now I am fully prepared to go on a new trip!
When it comes to shopping at the Duty Free you can not only buy all the latest beauty and fashion items at discounted prices but also get a mini makeover or a facial at the counters (Benefit, YSL, Jo Malone, Chanel, Dior) before your flight, how convenient is that? Manchester airport team introduced us to the French house Maison Margiela beauty department which has launched an exclusive perfume counter where you can get your Eau De Toilette from ‘Replica’ collection. You’ll be amazed by the uniqueness of the scents and how professional and friendly the sale assistants are, even if your plans didn’t involve buying a new perfume I promise you won’t be able to resist not to get one from this collection.
On the shopping spree night I also picked up a little something for my husband. I just couldn’t pass the opportunity to buy a Mont Blanc “Emblem” eau de toilet for £34.95 (RRP £65). He was absolutely thrilled with his new perfume.
At the Mac counter I purchased my must have Mac “Velvet Teddie” lipstick along with my holy grail highlighter Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle . The reason why this highlighter is so popular is because of its soft peachy bronze colour, which makes it super wearable and flattering on many different skin tones.
At the Dior I picked up my first ever iconic 5 “Couleurs” eyeshadow pallet in adore, which has all my favourite brown tones perfect for autumn/winter. Obviously, I couldn’t stop there and also got the Dior’s famouse “Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer”, it’s extremely subtle and gives you a natural glow. I have blemish prone & oily skin, but I have been told all the time how healthy my skin looks when wearing this product.
