Hello my loyal readers, in my today’s post I want to talk about one of the latest fashion crazes which was the main topic of many recent fashion debates, it’s a weird fusion of anti-beauty and extreme comfort, a niche trend only couple years ago that took by storm both designer world and high street this year, the trend that we fashionistas are loving so much right now because of its uber sexy and chic ugliness, I’m sure you all guessed by now what I was talking about – “ugly” or “chunky” trainers. Ever since Balenciaga launched their most popular “Triple S “, which defined the standard of the today’s footwear and still continues to be the object of everyone’s desire , we saw a swift rise of sporty style on our streets. It’s almost impossible to imagine our daily outfits without trainers or any other sport gear items which we all used to wear only to the gym in the not-too-distant past.
I’m not saying it’s a bad habit, it will totally depend on how you will style the whole look. Last week I shot the look where I wore a dress and chunky trainers and I loved the vibe that sneakers brought to my OOTD, although I was not entirely sure initially if the combination of an elegant dress and oversized trainers would be a good combination. Don’t be afraid to show your “fashion courage” when creating new outfits, it’s a formula for success! The latest stats showed that since 2016 more trainers were sold then heels and I’m not surprised that trainers have become more alpha than sharp pointed Jimmy Choo’s heels, they are super versatile, incredibly comfy and can be paired with literally anything, they are definitely the footwear of now. And it’s quite obvious that our british high street want to be a part of this movement. Below I have selected my favourite models, which will not break your credit card limit. X
I really like this kind of trainers 🙂
beautiful look, loved it.
