Hello my lovely readers! Today I want to blog about something very exciting – I was invited to visit brand new Christian Louboutin counter at Selfridges for the perfume launch! Yes, you heard me right, one of the most iconic shoe designer in alliance with British architect Thomas Heatherwick designed a true masterpiece. Following the success of Rouge Louboutin nail polish and subsequent range of lipsticks, Louboutin’s beauty product collections expanded into the world of fragrances mesmerising all his fans by these three magic scents :
1. Intimate and compelling, Bikini Questa Sera (my favaurote) takes the heat into the night. In the cool of the night air, the fragrance shimmers still in the moonlight, jasmine and tuberose, opalescent against the skin.
The heat & sensuality of the scent are evoked with the bottle thanks to the deep amber-and-warm gold ombré
2. A trail of golden light, Tornade blonde is the scent of desire. Feminine & potent, animalistic yet botanic, it is the scent of desire, love & adventure. Gorgeous red rose lie deep in a bed of sweet violet and cassis. The iridescence of the both the fragrance’s and the women’s spirit is reflected in the garnet of the ombre coloured bottle
3. Intoxicating and mysterious, Trouble in Heaven is the scent of provocation. A second skin of perfect iris, patchouli and tonka absolute resonates with the dry heat of amber .
The packaging and the bottle itself complement the scents perfectly. The twisting glass was based on the idea of folding surfaces, creating a loop which allows the perfume to flow around the central aperture. As Christian Louboutin mentioned : “They have the look of a totem or trophy, like a César or an Oscar” Genius idea! Now my dressing table looks even more glamorous thanks to this gorgeous amber coloured bottle and makes me feel like a winner!:) The perfumes are now available at Selfridges, Harrods and christianlouboutin.com
