It’s an indisputable fact that check blazers are a must have item in your wardrobe for this season, plus there are a key player for layering and keeps you warm.
I picked my blazer on Zara sale and I’m over the moon with it’s oversized shape, pattern and versatility . On the catwalks of 2017 designers threw it back to the 90s with a myriad of power suits. Featuring double breasted cuts and shoulder pads, this time they came with a modern twist in the form of longer lengths, oversized look but with a more fluid silhouette.
A good blazer has always been a hero piece in my wardrobe, I love mixing it with jeans , dresses and long shirts. They are also your perfect transition piece, and you can pair them with a hoodie for a play on the smart/casual dress code. Plus, it’s super cosy on days when you don’t want to have to lug around your heavy coat. Blazers do look like a very simple outwear piece, but actually they are refined, elegant and unique.
For a loud accent I added my Vivienne Westwood brooches, necklaces, beret and new trend for this summer – “tiny sunglasses ” I will agree that due to its size they might not be entirely practical in terms of UV protection but teeny-tiny sunglasses are officially in. Spotted everywhere from Miu Miu to Louis Vuitton, the origins of the Matrix-esque glasses can actually be traced back to the 90’s , and after Balenciaga ‘s spring/summer 2017 show everyone went mad for them .
Because it’s only this seasons fashion trend I decided not to invest in a designer pair and get mine from UK based online seller on eBay for £4.99 ( next day delivery plus a hard case) You can get them in different colours : White, Red and Black. My best purchase of 2018 so far (after my Zara blazer of course). X
