This is one of my favourite subjects to talk about. As you may noticed I style all my looks with different bags, because I think a bag is a crucial accessory in your outfit. It can change radically the whole vibe of any look. In my today’s post I want to focus on main bag trends for 2019, the majority of which did not change much during last few years, however, this season we welcomed a new style of bag which I personally love for its uber coolness and practicality ( especially if you are a blogger and you need to carry million of items around all the time )
Everyone will be carrying XXL bags this season. From Balenciaga Market Shopper bag to Burberry Giant Reversible tote these bags have not gone unnoticed by designers and passionate fashion lovers. Now every self-respecting girl, who’s in love with fashion, should have a bag of impressive size. I took my new Burberry Giant tote on two different holidays already and it’s a godsend when you travel. It was big enough to fit lots of different scarfs, my outfit change clothing, 5 pairs of sunglasses and camera equipment and still had plenty of room for my laptop!
Mini Bags and Belt bags
Small bags & Belt bags made their re-appearance a few seasons ago and it looks like they are here to stay. Chanel Waist bag that we saw on the catwalk in 2018 won our hearts and from that day we started witnessing a drastic transformation of the retro classic which is now available in multitude of designs ranging from slick leather utility belt-bags to statement cross-body bags. Since there are so many different takes on this classic trend everyone will be able to choose their own style. In this mini bag category I want to introduce you to my new bag ( which is not exactly small but is still the smallest in my collection). It’s a leather satchel bag by a brand called Le Parmentier New Ondina. Crafted in smooth genuine Italian calf leather in bold hues, it goes beyond elegance with its modern lined silhouette and feminine top handle that exudes charm season after season. Thanks to the bag’s detachable shoulder strap, you can wear it as a cross-body or just hand held. I absolutely love this bag’s colour pattern making it a perfect addition to my mainly monochrome bag collection. You can get this bag at Forzieri website and by entering code Irena20 you will get a 20% off on all full-priced bags & shoes .
90’s – Logomania
The 90s continue breaking our hearts with lots of designers transforming their classic models into “logamania” style. We saw a massive makeover at Dior fashion show last year when an “IT” bag of the 90’s Oblique Saddle was presented to us in a new updated version. Following Dior direction, many designers returned to the cult models of those times – Fendi Baguette and Gucci Ophidia GG are already recognised as the most promising comeback of the season. I don’t own the mentioned Dior, Fendi or Gucci bags yet but in my logonania section I would like to feature my new Balenciaga Triangle bag . Lately, I’ve been absolutely obsessed with collections by Balenciaga’s and Vetements creative Director Demna Gvasalia. As Demna mentioned in the Guardian’s interview :“Balenciaga is about the street, and on the street I don’t think elegance is what people are aiming for, being down to earth is the new black”. And my triangle bag is all about that – quirky shaped, ultra practical and beautifully urban (this bag also comes in green, yellow, red, and burgundy) Only flamboyant fashionistas can pull this bag out:) X
