Now that spring is here I can’t wait to re- invent my outfits. Very recently I found myself reaching for simple and uncomplicated outfits and styles which are easy to wear, more comfortable and look very classic.
Maybe the reason behind my style change is a new book that I’ve been reading ? It’s written by a hugely successful Scandinavian stylist Pernille Teisbaek who’s outfits I’ve been admiring on Instagram for quite a while. The book’s called Dress Scandinavian and it teaches you how by making simple steps you can master your Scandi chick looks. I’m loving the Teisbaeck idea of embarking on ruthless wardrobe clear-out that sees the things she hasn’t worn in recent months, as well as the rule of ‘quality over quantity’. Of course, this doesn’t mean you have to run to the designer stores and buy your capsule wardrobe pieces there, Pernille herself loves H&M and other high street stores.
Scandinavians are the modern-day muses with their less-is-more approach, reinvention of androgyny and mix of materials; without the girls like Gine Margrethe, Janka Polliani, Tine Andrea and Pernille Teisbaek herself our Instagrma feed would look rather dull & uninspiring . X
